Leanna's Winding Path
Hi friends. Thanks for checking in on me. I thought this would be a good place to share with you the details about my journey in this life. I hope to keep it simple and honest.
I love you.

24 July 2010 - Everything is okay
Okay, so there’s a little problem. Don’t freak out. Like I said, it’s a fairly minor problem…at least so far. Notice that I put August down in the title of my last post. Also, notice that I said my appointment with Dr. Hendricks was Last Friday. Both of these declarations were wrong. Dates are surprisingly eluding me these days. We’re not just talking about double booking my time. I’m just completely off some days. A month ago, I went to the scan office to get contrast for the next day’s scan. It wasn’t the next day, it was the next month. What is going on?
I hear that I’m not the only person experiencing this lately. Maybe it’s a strange cosmic alignment affecting us all. If I let myself believe that, then I feel a little better.
Anyhow, if I schedule something with you, you might just want to send me a reminder about our arrangement. That way I don’t accidentally stand you up.
Anyhow, here is the news from the PET CT.
No changes since the last scan!
While this particular report seems to have been written by someone who was well into his way with his 4th vodka tonic, the conclusion remains that there were no changes from the last scan. At first I was concerned by what the person reading the scan had to say. He said some completely wrong things like “metastesis to the knees.” #1. No this is not part of my case history. #2. The freaking scan doesn’t even go to the knees. It only goes to the mid thigh! I’ve never had any kind of diagnostic scan of my knees. Like I said, at first I was concerned. But Dr. Hendricks assured me that any tech could look at a previous and current scan and see if there are any differences. So he would have at least gotten that right. She felt like the conclusion, that there were no changes was very positive. She also said she run it by one of the head people in the establishment where they read these scans though, just to make sure.
So instead of telling you about the details of this report, I’ll tell you about the last one. The final conclusions of the the last report (from January) said: 1. No evidence of neoplastic disease within abdomen or pelvis. 2. Stable small pulmonary nodules.
This is good news.
