21 June 2011 – Singing
Yesterday I visited the Frederick Cancer Care Center to learn more about local resources available to me. While I was waiting in the waiting room, a lady came in. She waited for me to get off the phone with Herb. She announced that she wanted to sing before her appointment.
So that is what she did.
She carried a nervousness, but her singing was absolutely beautiful. What a gift.
I’ve been the recipient of so many gifts lately. Our friends Jason and Tam flew out from California to visit. This was very quick planning on their parts. Then, Ekim and Andie drove up from North Carolina. We had a household full, but it was fun and relaxing. The girls tried to put together this crazy Alice and Wonderland puzzle. As long-term friends from high school, the guys did what they do best (I’ll let you puzzle that one out).
We had a wonderful time.
