2 May 2011 – Reiki Relief and Renewal
The last week has been pretty amazing and intense. I was privileged enough to receive much healing and love through friends and through Reiki.
Last Monday, my Reiki master organized a Reiki Day for me. She invited several of our Reiki friends to come to her house and spend a day treating me. Yes, a day. Our sessions were organized from 10 until 4. While we did take breaks between treatments, for the most part, the entire day was spent with me receiving Reiki treatments. At any one time, there was no less than four people treating me. Once, there was as many as eight! That’s right. Eight ladies, 16 Reiki hands, all participating in this lovely healing day.
There is so much I could write about the loveliness and sweetness of this day, but I just could not do it justice. I am so grateful to the women who participated in this healing day and especially to Marion for organizing it.
THEN
This weekend, I completed Reiki II training with Marion and three of the ladies who participated in my Reiki Day. What a treat, to be exploring this path with such wonderful women. The techniques we learned in Reiki II allow me to send distant Reiki. So for those of you who would like a distant Reiki treatment, please let me know.
There were two personal insights that came to me during this lovely week of Reiki. (Well, actually, a lot more than 2, but I want to share these):
1. I need to return to my body. Engage. Live life more through my flesh, less in my head. (I’ve been guilty of ignoring my body, since it is not cooperating with me very well. My inner wisdom is telling me to keep going. Don’t give up. Keep going. Keep living).
2. I am the gardener, and I am the garden. I should spend some time journaling about this I’m sure. There is a lot that could be said here. But it came to me as a lovely vision during our Reiki II training on Saturday. I will keep this idea close to my heart.
