Leanna's Winding Path
Hi friends. Thanks for checking in on me. I thought this would be a good place to share with you the details about my journey in this life. I hope to keep it simple and honest.
I love you.

25 September 2011 – Blessings
I am so lucky to have two reasons to post today. I usually wouldn’t put two posts so close in time, because I want to give everyone a chance to read each post, but my posts are so erratic these days, I think this is fine….and besides, I am excited by recent events.
We have had guests!
Andrea, Chad, and Ellie Berkley and Mark and Paige Anderson from Portland, Oregon came a visited us for a week! These are dear, dear friends and I am so grateful that they came! Many times, having so many guests would be sort of overwhelming, but this wasn’t at all. Such awesome friends came to us to help and to be totally accepting of our current situation. Andrea cooked about 1 and ½ month’s worth of meals that we froze. Paige did all of our laundry and cleaned the whole house. Chad provided his classic strength and wisdom to everything that we did. And Mark provided entertainment through philosophical discussions.
We were so lucky to have Helene and Steve and Jay and Di to celebrate Thanksgiving in September! This fun event was inspired by Helene. She acquired a huge fresh turkey from polyface farm. It was amazing!
Paige cooked the turkey. Andrea and Steve cooked everything else. The 11 of us dined very well that Tuesday night. We also dressed up in costumes and celebrated burning man style! We even burned a little man in our fire pit. I am so grateful to the friends who made this such a special evening. Thank you.
We also had the good fortune this last week to see friends that we had not seen in a while. Our friend Jim Gant was recently married. He and his new bride, Betty, are walking in every state in the country as their honeymoon. We haven’t seen Jim in over three years. Our catch-up conversation, while short was special. Thanks for coming to see us, Jim. Rebecca, also visited and brought the best pesto, Caesar salad, and tiramisu. Oh it was delicious, both the meal and getting to see you again.
Thank you all. We have so much to be grateful for.
Love and blessings to you all.
